The project ROPAS is centered endow the material based on fibers of new intelligent applications through the incorporation of a new wireless sensor that can be printed by printing techniques of high quality and low cost.
The device that focuses the work will be based on a paper substrate and a battery will be flat printed, a device to send information wirelessly and a printed sensor.
Include recent advances in nanotechnology (encapsulation) printing, modifying the surface of the paper, development of sensors and batteries, biotechnology (encapsulated yeast) and ICT (wireless) all integrated into a paper substrate
OBJECTIVES:
- Development of the basic guidelines for device fabrication.
- Creating the impression materials for sensors.
- Creating printing processes for such materials.
APPLICATIONS
The new device will create several high-impact applications in the field of security, such as anti-counterfeiting smart tags, integration of displays in the paper to inform the consumer, or even make an intelligent tracking and tracing on.
The project ROPAS will generate products that offer consumers the advantage of saving time and more information on packaging and other products that can be given today at a low additional cost.
At the same time create new products and new business areas to promote industry and paper pulps.
